this was a fantastic tv for a year. right after the 1 year warranty was up, the picture is bleached out. still has a picture but it's mostly white. i have had nothing but good experiences with samsung tvs up until this one. would not recommend this model! and based on my research, this is a very common problem that i with samsung would step up and address.

First Tv would turn off and later not showing any image. I returned it a week after purchased. I so regret that I got the another one same model thinking that the past tv was bad. I purchased this TV at a local Walmart in late April, 2020. The setup was easy and the picture is fantastic. I have a Clear Stream antenna with dipole attachment and I receive 52 over-the-air channels, many running in HD quality. Along with the multitude of stored apps (especially Pluto TV) I have more than enough to watch.

Not what I expected from Samsung...

We've owned a 55" 4k Samsung for 2 years in our living room. It is super crisp and has an amazing way of handling motion. I bought this 65" from Walmart yesterday for our basement for family movies. After hooking it up I figured that the shows on Netflix were just lagging, or maybe the settings were set for a lower setting. I was wrong. It is no where near the quality of the 55" Samsung we had upstairs. All motion is very blurry when comparing the same shows, even with the motion settings on. I'm hoping to return it an will go with a higher end LG or Sony. Also the remote control is not as nice as the remote on the other samsung!

What Happened To Samsung Quality

I got this TV in December 2019 and have hated it every since. I was thinking it would be an upgrade to my 5 year old 60" Samsung because of the 4K, but that's not the case. My old TV was much better, in fact I have a 10 year old 50" (beast) that is so much better. The sound is awful and had to invest in a soundbar just to get some minimal sound quality. The adjustments for HDMI sound are a joke. Bottom line, this is junk and I should have known better based on the price, but have a long experience with Samsung's good quality. But this is so far below. I'm now shopping for another TV only 4 months after buying this one.

I own. 50 inch and a 65 inch in both models. The 65 after one year the screen just completely turned gray and had no picture with sound. The 50 out of the box had streaming problems right away where I have to unplug and plug the tv back in for the apps to work on the tv. Samsung has definitely fallen off.

The worst TV

I bought this 65 inch tv in last year Q-1. I was using SONY for the last decade and changed to Samsung by thinking better brand. After 7 months, colored vertical line appeared on screen. A week back screen turned gray screen. Getting audio but no picture. This product has many bugs, over all experience is horrible. I strongly don't recommend this product. Don't waste money. I called service but no callback from technician. Still waiting.

Refresh rate issues

I just purchased this tv for the super bowl. The picture quality was great as the game was broadcast in 4k. However shortly after I started noticing the screen glitch on the upper left quadrant of the screen. I thought it might be just the program i was watching but it keeps showing up. I think it's a refresh rate thing. Can I fix this? Should I return it? Would love some insight...

Overall it is nice TV (picture and sound are good). We got an excellent deal on this. However (and I do blame myself for not looking into this before purchasing)... this TV does not have bluetooth or the basic ports for connectivity. Such a pain. And do not waste your time trying to contact customer service (chat). They know nothing. Or better yet, they recommend you get an adaptor for bluetooth, but guess what? You can't connect it to this TV! Awesome! Not that we need to connect a bunch of things, but I'd just like to use my bluetooth headphones from time-to-time and we'd like to connect our old timey DVD player to it. Nope. Not happening. Super disappointed.

I bought this last year at Christmas savings price and see it is still a budget price--I use it as a Mac mini monitor and don't understand all the hating. Is it super bright? No. I got blackout curtains for $29 for my computer room--problem solved. And since it has a good contrast ratio you can view it in a dark room. Is it eye popping color--well, not your socks off. But I briefly had a Samsung Q60R (before it nosedived off its stand) which is a wide gamut set and the difference tho perceptible was not miles and miles and miles. Plus of the two sets it was the Samsung NU6900 which was more able to consistently maintain an input signal and at 60HZ--though this may reflect the relative power draw on my Mac mini and flakiness in the Mac controllers plus the usual connectivity variables. Upscaling is decent and for blu-ray/1080p very good. If you want a decent and dependable TV (mine hasn't gone blank, wiggy, or comatose) that is, let's face it, cheap--I recommend this TV if you can fit it into your viewing habits. Will this complete with upper level OLED/QLED sets--probably no on that--but then you will need to pay more. Customer support is 5 stars.

Disappointed in the TV's Color, Tint and sharpness

I bought this set yesterday and even after tweaking the picture settings, doing picture resets, working with an on line Samsung tech, still couldn't get rid of the slightly washed out colours and the light red hue to the skin tones. Two HDMI ports were also a bummer in that I couldn't connect our ROKU to the set. Colours, blacks and shadowed areas of the picture would be fine for a few minutes then take a turn for the worst. Returning it to AAFES tomorrow for a refund. I wanted to go to a larger TV and expected better from this model. I put my old Samsung 60" UN60f6300 back in service. It's pretty bad when older technology in the older model performs much better than the new one. Really unhappy with this purchase.

First off, I spent a lot of my money in Samsung products in my life and had no reason to expect broken products from them. And i bought a brand new TV on my own for the first time from Samsung and this TV can't even keep the screen going for a few seconds without it bugging out. It was hard to justify spending so much money on a TV but I told myself it was Samsung so no need to worry. Then on top of that, I tried calling to get this annoying issue solved and was told to just go online and create a work request ticket and I did. I saw people on Best Buy reviews and comments complain about the same exact thing and pictures with the same problem. The offical Samsung team responded and offered quick and free assistance to him. But did I even recieve a phone call or email notifying me that someone is working on my account "within 2 to 3 days" ? No. I am sorry for being rude but I am extremely dissappointed in this company and will be having to leave a bad review on Best Buy as well where I bought this. I spent way too much of my hard earned money for this type of service and faulty product. I would like a full refund or someone to come and actually repair my TV so that it is usable for my family. All that I want is my problem to be solved

Now 4 months later, it is like that permanently. No picture, do not buy this TV!! I would like to trade it in and get store credit for the amount I bought it for.

Completely dead within 3.5 months of purchase!

This TV began flickering a month ago. At first I thought it was my Fire TV. After several reboots not solving the problem, I thought I was going to have to spend $50 on a new Fire TV. If it was only that easy. The TV began flickering faster and faster until completely dying. THREE AND A HALF MONTHS AFTER BUYING BRAND NEW FROM BEST BUY. Look, I understand planned obsolescence. New technology doesn't last as long as it should. But for a $600+ TV that is absolutely ridiculous. I thought I was buying quality by going with Samsung. I guess not. I'll update this review after I go through the process of contacting Samsung's warranty department. Hopefully they make it right.

Screen broke in 3 months - 2 more for replacement

I bought this tv in February. The screen started flashing by May. Customer service has been incredibly unhelpful and I have had to wait over a month for a response. They are replacing the tv with a lesser model, wont give me a refund, or even a credit. Oh yeah, and now its going to take another month to actually get the replacement. Ill be moving on from Samsung after this process is complete.

Ive been very happy with this TV so far. I dont have cable so I use it either with streaming services or watching dvd/bluray. Picture quality is great, settings are easy to navigate and configure. Took me minutes to get up and running when I first got it setup. The only thing I would change is having the ability to set a default app upon powering up the TV. I find myself having to constantly launch either youtube tv or netflix manually.

Material used on the tv is POOR quality

I bought this TV november 2018, and still have warranty. The tv is slightly used and for some god knows reason the screen will not turn on and when it did it showed a crack with NO EXTERNAL damage. I had a samsung technician come in and noted it was from physical damage. Pictures were taken and samsung will not release me the pictures the technician took and denied my warranty.

The TV tends to glitch quite a lot and sometimes it becomes blurry for long periods of times which isn't convenient. It is also very fragile and tends to shake even when people are just walking around it. However when everyone is sitting down and it isn't glitching or blurry, it's a great TV

ARC HDMI port is NOT recognized...weak sauce here

Bought the Samsung UN65NJU6950 from Costco, immediately after following the initial setup I went into the sound output menu and the HDMI ARC port was NOT being recognized...Contacted Costco concierge tech support and after 45 mins, they blamed my receiver. I am going to return and not even bother w/ Samsung tech support. This is my second Samsung HDTV and my 1st one had a HDMI port issue as well...My last Samsung TV and I will no longer using their phones, gonna go a different direction.

Bought this in November had it 1 month it went out Samsung sent a repair service out to get the tv they kept it about 3 weeks got it back my apps don't work and sometimes the remote doesn't work.....if I wanted a refurbished tv I would've bought one but no I paid money for what I thought was a good brand

Have had several samsung products, including a tv from 2008 that still works perfectly. I have had this tv for 2 months and it is unwatchable. Picture will constantly flash, and at times show vertical colored lines. Waiting on service request

Everything is great so far

I bought this two weeks ago and no issues so far. Bought at a warehouse liquidation sale. Speaker sound quality isn't great but it's a tv it's main function is to display a picture not to sound great but I don't have an issue with that as it's hooked up to an amp with Polk RTA 12c's. I don't use the apps on the tv because I bought a 4K Samsung DVD player so I can't say how the WiFi is on the tv. Great picture quality however it isn't quite was contrasting as the higher models like the 8 series and above. My next purchase will definitely be the quantum dot Samsung TVs. It was really light weight so that made the job of picking it up easier. Very bright display exactly how I like it.

Fantastic 4k TV with unique features

I purchased this TV to replace my Samsung plasma 50 inch TV because of lacking features. The plasma TV was over 12 years old and I was very happy with it but time takes its toll. I was surprised at the features on the 2018 model I purchased. The color is really good and the pictures are Clear and realistic. The sound from the 20 watt amp is better than expected and the wifi is supburb. It was very light in weight and easy to install but a manual like the old TV had would have been better than the electronic version for learning the features. It also works with Alexa for turning on and off, but not channel changing or volume but definitely a plus. My model also does not support bluetooth which would have been a plus. All and all I love this TV and would recommend almost any Samsung product I have purchased over the years for reliability and quality. I did purchase a Samsung soundbar with wireless woofer and I really like that too. You cannot go wrong with this model and any one of these TV's from series 6 to series 8. Good luck on your purchase..

Wont work with my vesa mount

Love the picture and features. I do miss the air mouse from my previous samsung 4k series tv. When I install on my vesa mount no matter if i use the attachments that are included. My tv is angled back. I have mounted it half a dozen times and still can not get it to mount straight. This isn't my first tv I have mounted. (like my 6) Back of tv is not flat like the rest of my tvs. I don't know if I got a dud or not. I called customer support and they are useless tried to pass me off to someone else. Said I have to deal with people I bought it from and wouldn't help me. Now I have to buy a new stand. Buy a different tv if you are vesa mounting

I had a Vizio so you know I enjoy this Samsung! Picture is fantastic in 4K. A bit slow in fast scenes. For the price it is well worth it.

Lacking in customizable features.

The TV DOES NOT support HDR10. The spec sheet lies. My Xbox One X will not play games in HDR, and the TV's HDR options are missing from the menu. There is no option to turn off local dimming/dynamic backlight/adaptive contrast, so the picture randomly gets brighter and darker. Very annoying. I contacted a Samsung tech, and they remotely controlled the TV, but did nothing but browse the Settings menu for an hour. Every time I exit any menu, the Home menu appears. Why? If I wanted to see the Home menu, I would press the Home button. No option to disable this. The picture quality could potentially be really good, but there are no options to make it so. Therefore, I rate it one star.

I already own a 65" 7 series and I love it. I bought this 6 series because the price was right and I was looking for another tv. The difference between the two is eyeopening. The picture is much too dark despite trying every adjustment possible. I gave it to a friend and bought an 8 series which I love.
