Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

ALMOST a good product...

In general, this range works OK, but there are a few issues... (1): The front panel has flanges that prevent the range from sliding all the way in, so there is a large 1" gap at the rear where it should be flush against the wall. This is with a counter top that is just 25.75" deep. I used wadded-up aluminum foil to fill-in this gap. (2): After igniting a burner, the knob adjusts 180 degrees from high to low, however, the flame stays high for the first 135 degrees of rotation, leaving only 45-degrees of rotation for actual flame control. This does not allow fine-tuning of the flame intensity. This issue might be unique to the modification kit for propane fuel versus natural gas. (3): The front-right burner extinguishes when opening or closing the oven door... (4): The actual oven temperature is not displayed -- only the target temp is shown, and while an alert sounds when the oven temp RISES to the target temp, there is no similar alert when the temp LOWERS to the target. (Consider when a turkey is started at 375 degrees, then lowered to 250 degrees after 30 minutes...). The Bosch oven I previously used was an older model that always displayed the current temp and the target temp... WHY would Bosch eliminate this feature? Aside from these issues, the range otherwise performs OK. I would give a 5-Star rating if these issues could be corrected.

dismal quality

Brand new stove: burner igniters do not work: one of them failed on the second use; the center one failed about a week later; then, later the same day, all of them failed. Bottom drawer pops out and does not stay in unless you get it jusssst right. Lighting the burners with matches works just fine - takes me back to the days of gas stoves from the 1950s - and the oven seems to work ok. I owned a Bosch stove for about 20 years (it had problems with the oven and broiler igniters - do we see a design flaw here?), and had been very happy with it. Alas, the old one was much better than this version. Very disappointing.

Has not been a good range.

Eddie K 7/20/2019

We bought an earlier model of this range in 2015. It has been a big disappointment. The oven takes the longest time to preheat that it almost discourages baking in it. I also question the temperature reliability. The old recipes that I have used for years never seem to get done in the same time as in other ranges. The stainless steel drip pan is so pathtically cheap, it scratches each time I wipe it with a Dobie nylon pad. Unless these two items have been corrected on this new model, I would steer clear of buying this range.
