I currently own and use several Frigidaire appliances, including a portable air conditioner that has been working exceptionally well.I recently purchased a new Casement Window Air Conditioner and wanted to share my initial impressions after just a few days of use.First, I™™d like to mention that the shipping experience was excellent™"the unit arrived on the scheduled date and time without any damage, which I appreciated.After installing the unit securely in the window and powering it on, I noticed a loud humming noise that begins when the compressor starts running. I'm wondering if this level of noise is normal. Compared to the Frigidaire portable air conditioner I currently use™"which is impressively quiet even when the compressor is on™"the window unit's noise level is quite significant and a bit disappointing.I had expected the window unit to be even quieter, especially since its compressor is located outside the room, unlike the portable unit. I would like to know whether the noise I™™m experiencing is typical for this model or if it may be a sign of a compressor issue.If there is any way to reduce the noise or if this is an area the company is working to improve, I believe this model has great potential to be a quiet and high-performing air conditioner like your other products.

The AC will cool your living space remarkably well but will grow mold in the styrofoam chamber. the only way you can treat the mold is to have the inner coils and the fan removed. This has to be done by an HVAC person and the service will cost what you paid for the AC. No matter how much you tilt the AC towards the outside, the water that accumulates in the fan chanmer will not drain. Despite cleaning it per instructions. Significant mold growth after one year

Unit fits our narrow windows and finally won't have a blazing uncomfortable summer. It gets really cold and pumps out a lot of air only thing is the unit arrived with a crack on the front grill. Doesn't affect performance.

We love this air conditioner. It fits perfectly in our older style narrow window and cools the whole living room and kitchen. The remote is a great added feature, especially with two little kids which makes it hard to get up to switch manually sometimes.

I have yet to install my new Frigidaire vertical window air conditioner unit however!! It is a replacement for my last Frigidaire of the exact same that I think I've had for nearly 20 years!! Obviously the quality, that severely lacks in most products of this century, is WAY above average from most other name brand appliances. My old unit, honestly, probably only has some small thing wrong but repairs are generally as expensive as new and after 20 years the cost of a new AC is definitely worth it; especially if i get a new 20 years. This unit has the perfect volume of white noise for me and more than capable cooling capabilities for our 120° Phoenix summers. And just the fact that Frigidaire has a unit that fits perfectly into my old 1950s window enclosure is everything. Thank you Frigidaire for making the best quality products!!

It has been 110+ degrees here in Texas lately. Purchased this unit, and it has worked great, cooling the 200 sq ft area. It was not as loud as I thought it was going to be. The only issue I had was it was dented on the side from delivery. It did not affect the unit itself, just cosmetic. It has been installed for about 2 weeks, running almost non-stop. I have had no issues at this point, we shall see how long it lasts, but I am hopeful.

Perfect Fit For Narrow Space

We have 2 other window mount Frigidaire air conditioners that we have been very happy with so this choice was made with confidence. Although this model is made to fit a slider window, we installed it in a large double hung window that is partially covered by a sectional sofa. This model fit the small exposed window space perfectly and is much more effective at cooling the living room than a portable 10,000 btu model it replaced. It is a little noisier than expected and the remote does not have the remote temperature sensor that our other Frigidaire models have. Due to its narrow shape, it extends out the back side more than we would like. I would like Frigidaire to provide a window kit that makes this model a sturdier fit for a double hung window and a higher quality support bracket. Overall, we are happy with this model and expect it to be as trouble free as our other Frigidaire AC's. We also purchased a larger insulated plastic insert from our local craft store to accomodate the larger open window section of the double hung window.

We had one of these for several years, it worked fairly well. When it stopped working last year, we purchased the identical for replacement. The new one worked last year, this year it does not cool nearly at all. After spending over $600 for this unit and it now one month out of warranty, it will now be replaced with a ™whole house™ mini split. The Frigidaire unit will now be recycled. I would not recommend this unit to anyone!

This is the second Frigidaire air conditioner that I™™ve purchased. The first one that I purchased, which was just like this one but an older model, lasted me over 20 years so when when it came time to replace it, there was no question as to which brand I would get. By the way, my old conditioner still worked. It was just getting too loud next to the tv. This one is a bit pricey because it™™s for a casement window but I don™™t have any other choice. It is money well spent.

Great ac I have an open floor plan kitchen dining room and living and it cools nicely only when it's above 90° you have to put it on the highest fan setting and lowest temperature but as far as customer service a ZERO found ac at wayfair for a lower price after being told they would match it I called to check price match status and they refused to honor it definitely recommend the ac but buy from wayfair instead

I have a very hot apartment with poor insulation. The whole apartment is ~450 sq ft. I installed this unit in the living room (180ish sq ft?) and when I close all doors to other rooms, the living room gets down to 79-80 degrees (it would normally be above 90). It doesn't cool down the apartment or even the whole room the way I hoped, but it does provide a pocket of cool air in front of the unit. I'm honestly just happy to have somewhere to stand in this place to cool off.

Amazing looking and highly effective and efficient unit. Packaging was extremely durable and easy to get the appliance out of. Included everything. Window bracket for underneath for support to outside wall and also the window kit for above the unit. Window kit could be made a little bit bigger for taller windows imo as it came up 3 inches short had to fill in with kaizen foam. Also there is no drain hole in the outside bottom pan of the unit for condensation build up. So after extended periods of running the watwr builds up and actually gets flung everywhere by the fan in front of radiator. If these few flaws were fixed it would be the best air conditioner ive ever used and installed. Please take into consideration when purchasing this item if the engineers fixed these minor flaws this unit would be perfect
